Oh, Pushies.

I am devastated. The American music press has apparently remained unwavering in its absurd disdain for Le Push. After hearing Die Energie Der Mutterschaft, I was certain that the boys would finally gain what they had always sought: tighter pants, and approval in the U.S. But the review by this online "hipster" magazine, Pitchfork, has shown once again that even the most self-professed open ears grow shy at the sound of the band's work. How can one listen to the new song and not be overcome with feelings of - how can I describe? The rape and murder of beauty, and then the resurrection of beauty, and beauty turning around, and raping and murdering the resurrection? This is surely what Jacques Cousteau meant when he said, "Farming as we do it is hunting, and in the sea, we act like barbarians."

Alas, the boys are despondent as well. I could not even reach them this evening to confirm our supper at Die Klebrige Made, here in Hamburg. They had been working since 4 AM this morning in the studio. We were to share a Pufferfish.

Do not let this single review discourage you! Tomorrow is another day, and where there is another day, there is another day of progress on the new album. I will bid you goodnight now, but as you little Pushies must be soaking wet with tears, I offer you a video of a laughing baby.

Sleep tight Pushies.
