As you may have already read at Le Push's MySpace site, he has agreed to a tape recorder being present. This means that, in addition to the full interview being posted on Saturday, I'll be uploading a segment to the audio player, so you can all hear Milch speak.
Bye for now, Pushies.
P.S. I received a letter from a fan named Helga Gertschausen, who asked if Le Push has really been tapped to compose the score for the next Harry Potter film. Not true, Helga. I'm not sure where these rumors are surfacing, but there has never been an offer made, and should there ever be, I seriously doubt the boys would do it, as they despise linear narrative. Footnote: Le Push was asked by the German government, in 1991, to write a piece for the funeral of the actor, Klaus Kinski, but Werner Herzog, his friend and long-time director, went with Wagner instead.

I am devastated. The American music press has apparently remained unwavering in its absurd disdain for Le Push. After hearing Die Energie Der Mutterschaft, I was certain that the boys would finally gain what they had always sought: tighter pants, and approval in the U.S. But the review by this online "hipster" magazine, Pitchfork, has shown once again that even the most self-professed open ears grow shy at the sound of the band's work. How can one listen to the new song and not be overcome with feelings of - how can I describe? The rape and murder of beauty, and then the resurrection of beauty, and beauty turning around, and raping and murdering the resurrection? This is surely what Jacques Cousteau meant when he said, "Farming as we do it is hunting, and in the sea, we act like barbarians."
Alas, the boys are despondent as well. I could not even reach them this evening to confirm our supper at Die Klebrige Made, here in Hamburg. They had been working since 4 AM this morning in the studio. We were to share a Pufferfish.
Do not let this single review discourage you! Tomorrow is another day, and where there is another day, there is another day of progress on the new album. I will bid you goodnight now, but as you little Pushies must be soaking wet with tears, I offer you a video of a laughing baby.
Sleep tight Pushies.

P.S. I was on my way to pigeons and Bierschinken when Vole phoned. Under no circumstances will Le Push be changing their name, he said. I am lifted from my sorrow! The pigeons must wait. I will go to the bars in town instead, and perhaps find some Pushies to share my Bierschinken. Hazah!
Hi, Pushies! Sitting in my hotel room in
I'm sorry, I took some mushrooms when I got to the hotel, and apparrently their kicking in. I'll write after my visit to the studio.
Bye, Pushies!
What's up, Pushies! Some news: received a call on my cell. It was Vole. Apparently, Bot watched a documentary on ocelots this morning while eating breakfast and is now convinced that three key songs for the record must be re-written. He chose not to elaborate. Apparently, that tracklisting isn't as concrete as we'd imagined. However, he suggested that I come to their new studio in
